By ferry from Piraeus or Rafina
Ferries to Mykonos leave from two Athens ports. Piraeus is the main port near the city centre, while Rafina is the closest port to Athens Airport, useful if you land and go straight to the boat. High-speed boats take about 2.5 hours and conventional ferries 4 to 5.5 hours. Most arrive at the new port of Mykonos in Tourlos, about 2 km north of town. Book early for July and August.
